My husband got me an 86 to restore. We finished the rust repair, and now we need to dig into the engine. Fun times.
This brings back so many memories of growing up! My Grandpa had this truck with a topper over the bed. We all drove it over the years until it literally rusted to pieces (I laughed when you mentioned about the rust!). Once when I was in college, I accidentally backed over a prototype snowmobile with it in a parking lot. Oops! Took many road trips with my Grandpa in that truck. Precious memories!
I wish I could find an 84 K15 Silverado and restore to look like my dad’s did! Well done buddy!

My first truck I bought in high school was a 1969 Chevy short bed. First month I had to rebuild the engine, which at the time aChevy 350s were a dime a dozen. I wish I had the funds to give that truck the proper attention it needed but as a broke high schooler it took all I had to fix the engine. Beautiful truck you have !
