John Paul Villforth says:

For the future, look for a 1958 Chevy radio that fits exactly when the original should go. Just get one with all the modern stuff; AM, FM, USB, and CD input. I am sure there are original appearing radios with all the modern stuff. Or take a '58 radio and have it modified. The you will have an original appearing radio that has all the modern do-dads.

John Paul Villforth says:

You see the four bolts holding the intake and exhaust together? They should always be loosened before torquing the manifolds to the engine. Go back with brass exhaust nuts or copper plated nuts and bolts. Some manufacturers like Studebaker used copper plated studs and copper plated nuts or brass alloy nuts. Regular brass is too soft and it will strip.

Lt. Frank Drebin says:

There is a radio available that looks pretty much exactly like the '58 Wonderbar, except that it's AM/FM and is BlueTooth compatible. Also, much smaller and lighter in design than the original '58 Wonderbar. They're about $700 new. I would install one of those in place of the radio delete plate. It requires no cutting or drilling of the original dash.

Brian Lewis says:

That looks like a outline of a skull on the roof of the 58

Lee Morgan says:

Love the shirts, from several angles it appears that they go over the door. Cool! Thanks for the lunch break!

Kory Kimbrell says:

Very cool. I have a 58 Biscayne myself. 2 door post. 283 with a 4 speed

You got a Very Realistic Attitude!!! When something goes not as planned, "it's ONLY part of the career that I chose"…
Some people let it get to them and they decide to just hang it up and quit, then they call themselves a failure… "It's ONLY part of the job when things go wrong"

dog says:

If it was in the budget instead of going through all that trouble to clean all that old stuff up I think I would’ve gone with a brand new aftermarket two barrel intake manifold or four barrel intake manifold and a header for the 235 six he might spend 500 bucks I don’t know you might be able to get a cheaper than that but the car would probably run a lot better…woof! On the other hand do you want to keep it stock it’s understandable I guess you could always change it back…

Kurt S says:

I would have stuffed the intake ports with rags, before all that abrasive disc work happened.

jlinkels says:

If it were not for the background music and high-speed playback it might have been a nice video to watch

Stephen Cowley says:

Once you use permitext right stuff black you never go back.

Chuck Harris says:

Super nice car 57 has always been my first love and my first car back in 76, But the 58 was my 2nd choice and to have a nice one like that today is a dream Keep it up Please install some rust inhibitor in the truck and under to keep it looking super love the car.

Phil says:

Would have been nice to hear the car run and go for that test drive with you. Also not a lover of that fast forward and music stuff. Just show some of the job you are doing and edit the repeat stuff

HiVizCamo says:

Beautiful car, those lines, looks like it just came out of a comic book!

Jay Cooper says:

Such a cool car

chad Hord says:

That 235 does it have the off the block oil filter?

Evolution Monkey says:

Another great video. Ideally you'll want to enclose the rear of the speakers otherwise they will sound real bad/hollow…. Even a plastic enclosure will make the world of a difference.
