My driver seat on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe LT won't move forward or backward. How will I know if it's the switch or the motor that needs to be replaced?

Greg Sprayberry says:

I have a 2009 Chevy Sub. and the front passenger will not move up or back. I found out that if I wiggle the big plug under the seat on the passenger side, the seat will work. If someone sets in the back passenger side and their foot hit the plug, the seat stops working again. Is there a wiring harness that I can buy to fix this?
