Hi I have a 2007 sierra sle 1500 and they key is worn out and wont turn. I called a local parts supplier and they said that you need to do the reprogramming etc, why can't I just replace the cylinder with a new key? Great video and thanks.

what is te purpose of this switch and how do i know if this switch is not working?
I had to remve everything In this video to replace the shift controller. If the truck does not start after you are done but the lights all power on you have the gears and inner ignition not lined up. Make sure it all goes back together.
