Perfect video guys. I pulled this blower motor in my Dad's 15' silverado to remove some leaves in the fan that made an awful loud noise. For those of you trying this, those back 2 screws on the cover are a PITA to get back in. Fan sounds normal now. Thanks!!

Jacob Paul says:

What length of ratchet are you using to reach the very back screw? thanks!

Red Perez says:

Ok so my g wire fired n I replaced it and the resistor they were both burned now my fan kinda wants to start up but it won’t engage idk wat I did wrong any help

ThePaintballer9 says:

I went to turn my ac on today and my fan wouldn't come on. It was getting stuck. Took cabin filter out what a mess… but I turned my fan on and sounds like I have a family of mice in the blower I'm going to take at it right now. How do you keep mice out ?? 3rd time changing the filter

xRaGeXTangox says:

I need help finding the resistor. Looked everywhere, can’t find it. Is there a diagram we can look at

Byron Greenleaf says:

Great video. That back right screw is a sob.

Eric Godfrey says:

where do I find the blower motor resistor on this year's model? My blower works just fine but I need to replace my resistor? Thanks

Michael Rizzo says:

This helped me on my 2016 HD. I had a leaf stuck in the fan making a lot of noise. As other have stated the back two bolts are almost impossible to get. To reinstall here is a trick, use some duct tape to hold the screw to the deep well socket then you can fish it through the hole. Do the back screws first so you can see where they line up while looking through the gap.

Bennie Doughty says:

About a year ago I changed out my cabin air filter, after I installed the filter and put everything back together I turned my fan on for a test run. It ran great for about 10 minutes and all of a sudden I heard this loud noise so I shut it down and call my gmc dealer service department after I told him he laughed and then he now you get to learn how to remove your fan motor and to this, I said do what? So he said you either have leaves or trash in the fan blade so thanks to your video I was able to remove 3 leaves out of my fan blade

Michael Colon says:

Great Tutorial Video. Very easy to follow. The hardest part is getting the two back screws in closest to the firewall. I may or may have not dropped one behind the carpet. 🙂

Jesus Esparza says:

I have an issue with my 2015 chevy silverado! When i turn the a/c on i can hear the blower motor turn on but after a few seconds it turns off!! Could it be a bad blower motor resistor and if so where do i find one? I have been looking and cant find one anywhere??

Walker Texas says:

I keep having an issue on my 16 gmc 1500. When the blower motor is set to off it is still on very very low. I viewed your site looking for a resistor with no luck is it built into the motor?

Matt C says:

Great video! Thank you. Took me about an hour but saved lots of money.

Glyndal Cowan says:

The rear two screws are so close to the firewall they are practically impossible to get a wrench on.
