Super video, could not have done it without it. Very helpful!!!!!!
With this video and the use of a few 4 letter words, I was able to successfully get my actuator working properly.
Great video! Thank you!
Excellent video.
saved me $$$
will this also work for the rear door as well?
I understand the door trigger is somehow contained within the lock but have not been able to confirm this. My radio will not turn off or the interior light will not come on. I suspect it is this latch system if so. Any ideas?
Great video! I have used about 100 YouTube videos to assist with repairs in the past and this is, without a doubt, the best and most informative one I have used yet. Thanks!
You're a professional installer, we will be at CES please subscribe to us.
The water seal is it reuseable and how did you put it back on I was thinking using RTV
This video was accurate on every aspect of what to do, how to remove things etc. excellent video, I can’t believe my 18’ already started doing this. And doing this solo is not as easy as I thought it was!
Very helpful video. I wouldnt want to do the job without it ! Thank you.
Jesus what a nightmare
Need to do this on the rear door of my 2015 Sierra, is it really necessary to remove the entire handle assembly, window, etc.? I've done an actuator before on a different vehicle and you just loosen the 3 screws on the inside of the door near the latch and you can disengage the latch cables and lock rod while the actuator is inside the door.
You dont have to remove the window or the track around it. Just remove bottom bolt of the window motor arm. Remove window track inside door towards lock. Plenty of room to get everything out with glass still in,
Wish I would have gotten the part from Your website. I got mine from GM and it’s still not working could have saved me some $
Nice video… Where did you get the doorlock actuator?
I watched this video 3 times without volume and then me and my son just did this in less than 2 hours step by step with the video. Everything is flawless with the instructions. Thank You 1A
Is this the same for the passenger front door as well ?
One of the 5 bolts that holds the window regulator and window frame twisted and is not fastened any longer, this will not allow me to remove the nut. How do I get past this?
Thank you for putting this repair up. It probably saved me a few hundred dollars. You were right, that first trim panel you pull off to access one of the screws is tough! I finally thought if I break it I'll just buy a new one. It didn't break however. Additionally the door panel was a little difficult getting it off the top. Instead of trying to pull it straight out I wiggled and pushed up. I had to take those clips off the panel and put them back on the door panel when I reinstalled it. I really wanted to buy the part from you but I searched and searched your web site and could not find it. I'm sorry but your parts finder site is difficult to find anything with. Maybe just me but that was the case. Thanks again.
thank you for sharing this video.I was able to replace the door latch by myself.took me about 1 hour. Saved me probably $150.I had not heard of 1A Auto until I found this video. I will purchase my auto parts from 1A Auto from now on. 5 stars ,2 thumbs up.
