Thank you 1A Auto Parts for another great video. Your videos are the best. The C clamp trick worked perfectly. Very easy job.

John Fields says:

Great tip with the C clamp. Was pulling my hair out

mike davis says:

Great video, as all 1AAuto how-to-videos are, so I went to 1AAuto website and ordered the part, unfortunately the thermostat and housing did not come with it so had to order separately. Video said it came as a kit. Also the packaging of the water pump was very poorly done. In a big box with no bracing to prevent pump sliding all over the place in-transit. Inside of box had lots of tears in it. Also the mounting surfaces of the water pump had lots of scratches on it. Hope the gaskets provided take care of it.

oooooohohhhhhhhh!!! okay! lmao cheers mate!

You guys have another video on a GMC with a 5.3l in which you say to torque the pump bolts to 22-24ft/lbs. Which one is correct?

LeadDennis says:

Thanks so much for your effort on these youtube videos.

Neal Parler says:

Thanks I did the same change out on my 2000 Z71 5.3, but had a strange event happen while recharging the water, the heater core over flow under the AC accumulator constantly pour the wate out that i was putting the radiator??? HELP PLEASE THANKS

Robert Kirschner says:

This was a great video. Very informative and easy to follow. Was able to replace my water pump, ac belt and idler pulley, tensioner pulley and a few more items. Even told how tight to tighten up the bolts. Watching this gave me some xtra confidence to do it my self. Probably saved me 2-3 hundred in labor.
Thanks

Mario Dotson says:

I feel ASE certified when I watch you guys video. Great, very well explained video!

D.R. Thompson says:

Great video! I replaced the water pump, t-stat, housing, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, fan clutch, A/C belt, and serpentine belt on my '04 Silverado crew cab Z71. The entire job took about 3 hours. I saved about $1K by doing it myself. Make sure you buy a fan clutch spanner wrench for GM vehicles. Made the job easy.
