Cant stand liberals says:

I have a 2001 suburban 5.3 4×4. I just replaced the control switch, no lights came on. Checked the ACT fuse it was blown. Changed fuse and the lights came on and switch worked fine. Got in the truck the next day and the lights did not work and blown fuse again. I know it is probably a short to ground but is there an easy way to diagnose without tracing all the wires?

codename exoliby says:

Will this work on an 02 avalanche?

kris cruz says:

I have no power to when it comes to changing my 4wd I have put a new switch, a new actuator and still no power, meaning lights on the switch don't light up. Already checked fuses and couldn't find any popped. is this what would cause no power to switch into 4wd?

Erik Viktor says:

Great helpful video. IMPORTANT! When you mention to put the transfer in neutral turning the keyway downward, what do you mean with "keyway". Can you be more explicit, maybe show a photograph or put it into the video?
I expect the most important is to get the transfer into neutral before installing the new motor, so as long as it is and I am not sure where that keyway is, I can turn it until it is into neutral?! Right or wrong? Any risks? Otherwise great video.

texjames2000 says:

So have the transmission & the 4wd switch both in Neutral before starting this project?

Troy Bilbrey says:

I know the purpose of this video focused on the transfer case shift motor replacement. But would it not be a good idea to change the u-joint(s) out at this time?

Dusty975 says:

Great video on how to install. The details you gave on the indexing the new motor and transfer gear in the neutral position helped my get mine truck back together !! Thanks! . All the other videos did not even mention that or what/how to do the indexing.

x Saladmander x says:

Nice in depth tutorial, but it never went into 4HI, 4LO, or AUTO. It only fully shifted into 2WD. Why ??

Adan Bracamonte says:

Question, the male part on the transfer case that goes to the case motor, does it suppose to wiggle freely or is it supposed to be stiff?
