if it comes off track there are two black strips inside the door where the
window goes into while its sliding up and down you have to fiddle with the
black strips to get your window back in them

how much different is the 2006 impala?
The 2005 model year is the change over for the body styling so the location
of the bolts and tabs will differ.

same thing happened to me man, passenger door and back side driver door! I
just noticed it today, had no idea when it happened or how? I didn’t slam
my doors so I’m lost. It’s just the top 2 clips eh?

Awesome video guys!! I’m with Michelle. My driver side window came off the
track after I inadvertently slammed the door. You helped me fix it. I can’t
thank you enough. You guys are the best!
For starters you may want to check the fuses in the fuse box to see if any
of them are blown. Make sure that there’s power going to the window motors
with a test light. If there’s not, check the power at the window switch to
see if there’s power going to it, if there isn’t you may also want to check
the wire harness between the driverside door and body or the vehicle for a
broken or frayed wire which may be contributing to this issue. Hope this

You may need to remove the door panel and see if you can open the latch
from inside of the door, if the handle isn’t working.

I have a door on the same model car that is jammed shut. Do you have any
tips on getting it open?
i’ve got the exact same problem i’ll keep you inform how i fix it. i will
do it tomorrow probably. the door contact doesn’t always detect when door
is close. i need help for this problem.. i’ll see if i can do something for
that.
Clear directions, used on 04 impala. Ended up being the switch not the
motor. These guys have great videos and instructions. THANKS!
Unfortunately at this time we are doing other videos for other vehicles so
this video might be your best bet to getting that window back on the track.
my 02 impala passanger door……..i slammed it it came off tr5ack and only
lift half way back up…can u make a video helping me out..
