In my 05 impala I was trying to take my passenger seat out but it looks
like it is bolted down in the front also, but i cannot unbolt it because
all i see are a rivet holding down each rail to the floor which i cannot
remove. The i can life the back half of the seat up, but the front stays
bolted down. How can i remove this? thank you

Nice good job

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to remove
the seat out of your 2005 Chevy Impala. In most cars there are typically
four bolts that hold a seat in place. You may want to join an automotive
forum for your vehicle and ask the members if they have ran across this,
and if there’s an easy way to remove the seat.

SEÑOR PUFFPUFF says:

That problem with water on the passenger side floor is related to a recall
I believe – something to do with the HVAC system. Look into that before you
go replacing stuff you don’t need to!

I could use your help. I have a 2005 Impala LS that i just bought, which i
believe had the cowl leakage problem. The I get no sounds or chimes in the
car. and my passenger side carpet is still damp. my impala has a center
console and gear shift, can you give me tips on removing this part before i
start. I need to pull the carpet up to reach some wires that I think are
corroded from the the leak because my airbag light is on also. Thanks

1A Auto Parts says:

Normally the center console is held with with a combination of both metal
clips and bolts. You may have to remove some of the side trim panels on the
passenger and driver side wheel well to access some of the clips and bolts.

Very clear, thanks!
