Victor Gutierrez says:

I have the same problem P1516, Do you think could be an issue with the TAC ( Throttle Actuator Control,, SIDE DRIVER) or could be the THROLLE BODY

JC says:

Thanks dawg

I have a 2006 Silverado 2500HD, and my engine light just came on for the very first time in 15 years. How do I know which code is causing the light to come on?

Kenneth Jackson says:

Never was expecting that, unplug and plug back in throttle body harness lol dont need take all that stuff off to do that.

Mike says:

Just had the code after parking my truck in the sticks while I kayak camped.. Unplugged and replugged and its back to normal. Thanks for posting this video

Bobby Romero says:

My dude. Thank you

Edward Gelfond says:

This was tried and failed along with Replacing the throttle body, TB sensor, Checking grounds, TPS again, Gas pedal and sensor, TCM, and even the main computer. Running a ground wire from the battery to the TCM helped for a while. Changing the battery seems to last the longest amount of time but it will come back. If anyone has a real fix for this it would be appreciated. This truck has been to numerous different mechanics with no long-lasting fix.

Malcom Mooney says:

That check engine code said the same thing Arnold S. said " il be back"

GRANDE ENTERTAIMENT BAY AREA says:

you dont post to touch in side the throttle body

I have a 04’ Chevy Avalanche 1500 this issue pop up after going to autozone and hooking the OBD reader to it. Lucky enough i looked it up & may I say after watching this video the check engine light immediately came off. Also i just didn’t even removed anything just unpluged and plugged it back in .

matt schilling says:

Thank you sir. I have been battling this issue for a while and all it took was your video and presto the truck has tons of power.. I also noticed the airbox was not seated properly and probably sucking air. Long story short, thank you for showing me how to fix my 03 silverado..

Arca Jay says:

Has the reduced engine power mode came back at all ever since? I am currently experiencing an issue. Same code, my truck will do it when its below half temp or when its below 40 degrees outside. I just pull over, shut it off & turn it back on & goes away. But will eventually come back. I just recently cleared the code, tomorrow I will do what you did in this video.

Archangel0804 says:

So basically you didn't do a fucking thing except disconnect the harness and then reconnect this. Makes no sense. How long did the fix last? One day?

BillaBong says:

Hows the fixd working for you. I been using my fam bluedriver scanner and its pretty good. Im looking for one myself but heard good things about the fixd scanner too. Im stuck right in the middle of choosing.
