Michael Grey says:

That stuff breaks easily because the manufacturers used the cheapest plastic in these vehicles. Probably the same same as used in toys.

GerardO Lopez says:

What a mess,,, wrong way to do it

Buckwild 65 says:

Fill the cracks with spray foam insulation

Melissa Ann Overstreet says:

Definitely not trying to be a hater, but that is not a finished product. You should have pulled the dash, added 2 additional layers of glass, rondo, sanded, primed, guide coat, prime again, paint, texture, and finally clearcoat. Good start though.

Jeremy Ladnier says:

What steps would you have to take after this to fiberglass and paint

Man Tree says:

I did something like this to a camper with a cracked up abs plastic front, used fiberglass cloth but didn’t use fiberglass resin, I heard it doesn’t flex and can lift back up, I used abs plumbing pipe cement, it chemically bonds with the plastic then stays flexible for heat cycles and body movement. Now I’m fixing to do the dash in my 98 Chevy 2500. Did you find a way to repair the broken area where the gauge cluster bezel is supposed to snap on? Mine all the tabs are broken off and missing.

juan alvarado segura says:

Any update.?

Anthony Strohmayer says:

Neat. I would have probably got a new dash but removal and installation would have been too much work. Also, aren't the products you used rather toxic? Did you use a mask and gloves?

Marvin Green says:

put some rondo on it to smooth it out
