David Griffiths says:

I think my 69 impala has a bad chain… it was getting harder and harder to start. We were pushing/pulling another car in to my garage the next day it ran like crap… then I couldn't get start and when it did… I had a few light sparks come out the exhaust. Now it turns over like the battery is dead

SAV4GEz says:

I hope all mine needs is a new carb and timing reset and Its good to go.

billy hunt says:

That is exactly what my 5.7 sounds like since it stalled on me the other day I was pretty sure I slung that bitch off but then it started after towing to the house sound like a rod knocking

Yamaha Guy17 says:

I have a 396 in my 78 camaro and it has a big cam so I expect it to have a rough idle as is but it seems awfully rough and when I get on the highway or just drive as is it will be driving fine then start to backfire and pop in the exhaust like the timing is getting off so I think I have a slipping timing chain and if you look at it with the timing light the timing mark moves around

Shortbedgameskreshfull Official says:

My 305 in my blazer doesn’t want to idle I can sit there and crank it with the throttle wide open till it catches and runs but even at wide open throttle will bearly idle if I let of a bit it dies out it’s getting plenty of fuel you can see the tbi do its job it also puffs out a lot of white smoke any guess? I changed the cts spark plugs and wire the idle controls module as well feels like she cant breath not even at wide open

scale cars says:

Could a decent size cam and a pretty worn out chain cause it to stall out out of nowhere? Even if it didn’t skip a tooth?

Tyler Webb says:

Sounds exactly what just happened to my chevy and confirmed my suspicion on the timing chain thanks for the video guy !

Jerome Garcia says:

Man, don't have the tools nor a good place to do it, and this looks like no fun…

Mary Shannon says:

What did you mean when you said give it a half of squirt?

Chris Wiseman says:

Thanks for the video! Out of curiosity, where are you guys located in the northwest? I'm currently in the middle of a similar job on an '83 305 in a camaro.

Leroy Green says:

Thank you for the video, I just fixed my 67 c10 350. I found the chain so stretched it jumped a tooth. Your video helped me thanks!
