My old chevy 4×4 service truck needs more ground clearance to help pull old classic and antique cars and trucks from their grave. I turned to Rough Country who sent over an awesome 6″ IFS suspension lift for this 1989 Chevrolet K2500 truck. I’ll show you how to install these lifts, and eventually, we’ll give it a good test. Be sure to subscribe to the whole series!

Best channel on the YouTube by far!
The upper control arms for that model are weak in the press in ball joint area. I have found out that they got a snap ring groove in the ball joint that a 1&3/4 snap ring will fit. Good thing about them they got a lifetime warranty, I've had to send them in a few times in the past 2 years. Nothing worse than having a balljoint pop out when getting on it.
Bleep bloop!
Love you man thank you for this.

Helloooo young Champion, I surely like your ways and videos !!
But you ask the visitors to put a thump up and some comments !!!
OK, I do that exactly, but up to this day, I never notice any of your reply, not even the smallest interest on your part !!
Is it, also , YouTube, who made your " above all and everyone …? and therefor disregarding the comments from the people like me , who participated to your acting, saying, doing and making….? Please return our interest …just a little would be nice !!!

Buying a rough country lift is everyone's first mistake. Either sas swap or go with a different kit. If anyone wants reasoning then i can give a hundred reasons why not to put a rough country lift for a obs checy/ gmc…. with rough country lift you only have 90 days warranty or return policy and that's just to start. Ask me about the problems they have and you'll get tired of listening. No disrespect but anyone who watches and goes with rough country lift kits is being brainwashed and in for some regret.
Minnesota salt rust welder bonder.
Wow I think I'll pay the tire store to do this, to much cursing and busted knuckles!!
Funny vid though !!
All the new Rough County lifts kick ass!! Do yourself a favor and buy a couple of cases of Fluid Film for ALL your vehicles. π
I looked on RC website and they say you need 17β at minimum wheels for the 6 inch lift also maybe even for the 4 inch lift as well. Anyone know if you can get away with 16β wheels on RC (4β-6β) kits? For a (2000 GMC Sierra 1500). I already have a 4 inch Rancho lift on it with 16β wheels and it works just fine.. also idk what the offset is but works fine.

I had a buddy that kept telling me to go with a rough country lift instead of the skyjacker lift that I was going to go with!! He had put a rough country lift on a couple trucks & I told him have you ever put your two trucks next to each other?? He was like no why I said because I can tell that on the truck that you put the lift on two years ago that it is definitely not as tall as it was when you put the lift on originally!! He ended up putting them side by side after I had said something they were both 6β lift kits on an 1980s body style dodge truck & the one sat at least 2β to 3β lower then the other one did!! He was like I was wondering why my front tire would rub just barely when he would turn but just thought that it was because they were a different tires between the two trucks!! He was definitely surprised!! I told him that was why I did not want to go with rough country!! Iβve none a few older guys that had put the skyjacker lifts on & said they loved them & had no issues with them!! I ended up buying 8β leaf springs for the rear & also did a shackle flip kit 4β & bought 12β springs for the front & also ended up putting a 1β block in the rear!! Iβm running 40β boggers & have plenty of room for bigger ones also!! Iβve ran across a couple different people that have had issues with the rough country lift kits but they are definitely cheaper & I think every one that wants a lift kit is on a budget & that is why they usually end up going with rough country?? Awesome video buddy!!!
