I see more PT cruisers on the road than Chevy HHRs. the HHR is probably a little more reliable but I still think both are junk. I will say it's impressive this one has lasted this long
I had an HHR. Many electronic problems. It was corrosion on the body control module connector. Many HHR’s have this problem. Chevrolet Corporate denies the problem exists. Ultimately, through stupidity, I totaled it. I don’t miss it.
I had a 2009 HHR with the 2.4L engine in it. I drove the crap out of it. It had 50,000 miles when I got it. Sold it almost 5 years later with 184,000 miles. I didn’t want to get rid of it, but the transmission had started to act up periodically. I did a lot of driving, so I didn’t want to risk it. But, it was a good car and I was meticulous with maintenance. Aside from some freak incidents and one auto accident, I never had any trouble with it. I would definitely own another one if I found one in good shape. I could haul all kinds of musical equipment in that thing too! It served me well!

Is it just me, or does Scotty far too frequently bash a car or brand at the beginning of a video, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with the car?
What about being a fire hazard. Expecially when rear ended.

the PT Cruiser is nothing more than a glorified Dodge Neon…the only good point, I can see, is that the spare parts ain't too expensive and readily available
The broken hood struts are probably often caused by mechanics mishandling. I saw many mechanics pull the hood up manually and forcefully even if the hood was raised automatically with struts… this manual pull ruins them.
I saw one of the PT cruisers that was painted Destroyer Gray and what obviously was restored. It was Clean and looked solid.
