This is aftermarket installation… Visit SEVERAL of your local
installation shops. They can answer your question and fill you in on all
the adaptors and expense needed to add a stereo to this system. Including
all the features you may loose…
Thanks for posting, very helpful! This will be a lot easier than my other
cars, including my 1994 Camaro which included removing the entire underside
of the dashboard!
I have the same radio as in your video. I want to put a smaller cd player
with all the same options than the giant factory unit. Since I hae problems
with mine. I don’t have a radio in mind yet. I have no need to XM, DVD and
GPS since this is my daily beater. Thanks
We do factory car stereo repair only. Aftermarket or swapping the stereo
out has challenges. Visit several of your local shops, see who knows their
stuff and who is looking to make a sale.
Not an easy task with all the info provided on the screen of the original
stereo. There is a kit, antenna adaptor and $100-150 wire harness needed
for the installation.
I’d look at the amplifier having problems first. However, a reset may set
the communication in the system straight. Disconnect the negative terminal
from the battery for 10-15 minutes and reconnect.
Thank you for posting this! It helped a lot

Possible, but I’d have to see one myself to know for sure.
how i can unlock my impala factory stereo?
Thanks man.
Thanks for the video! Now, how can I remove the face of the stereo to look
behind the aux jack because my aux cord broke off in there…?
What aftermarket kit would I need to replace the factory radio with an
aftermarket CD player? Single bay style. Also thanks for posting this video.

Thx brow
Now that’s the way a video is done. Great narration, sound and picture
quality. Thanks alot. Helpful indeed
Ill give it a try. The 2006 Monte Carlo and Impala are very similar. The
only difference is the number of doors
I was wondering if i was to instal a JVC stereo in replace of the factory
stereo will the controls on the steering wheel still work with the volume?
No. The stereos are VIN locked. Only the dealer$hip can unlock and recode
the stereos.
Thank you soooo much for this video

Will this work on a 2006 Monte Carlo?
