The red wire is the b+ that sends 12v fromthe battery to the starter.It
should connected to the bigger screw,and the black to the other small one
thats ground.

I have a 2006 impala with front wheel drive. The previous owner had an
alarm system with a hill function on the car which I wish to remove. There
are two wires running to the unit. Black and Red. I think they’re connected
to the starter but don’t know for sure. I was told the device is used as a
bypass when starting the car. How can remove the device while ensuring the
car starts?
hey i got 2008 impala ls 3.5 liters and my baterry drain so fast i got a
new one but still the same u think is the alternator or starter? or what
can u help me
why did change the starter. i have a 2006 impala it sometimes cranks
slowing. Like when i turn the key it starts off like its struggling or
something it only happens sometimes.
I having a hard time manuevering my out on my 2006 impala. What else do I
have to take off.

Sounds like you have a weak battery.

I just checked and both screws are same size. I have one screw that has a
wired connector running to it from inside starter

I think 3.5.
@cgarner1198 I think its next to the power steering pump which you will
