I just watched your video and your AWESOME. I had no idea where the fuses were or that you could do that. I have a question on my 2005 malibu LS the cd player stopped working it stopped pulling in the cd’s It hasn’t worked in over a year so I don’t even remember if there is a CD in it. I don’t know if I need another stereo or if this one can be fixed if I do then how do I know if I get one like the one that came with my car it will work in my car ?
I agree with you that you remove a 10 amp fuse in the 2005 Chevy Malibu fuse box. I used 2 metal butter knifes to remove the cd without damaging the cd if you know what you are doing. The only thing i can’t figure out is how to remove the radio casing to get inside were the cd metla frame is to remove the cd player and repair the metal cd were the cd’s bent the cd player frame. If I find out how to repair and or replace the cd player. I’ll let everyone know.
Lovely! I had this problem over the summer. I had bought a brand new CD and played it for a week or two without taking it out of the player. It wouldnt eject the disc when I pushed eject. A neighbor came and got the CD out but now the plyer will not take any CD’s. If this doesnt work to reset the player I guess Ill be looking for a new one!
This has been an on going problem for my 2005 Malibu. They’ve replaced the CD player like 6 times and currently they are getting ready to replace it again. If this works I’m gonna strut around my Chevy garage like Mick Jagger.
Man, my consule wont even turn on. It’s blank and I’m getting sick of not being able to listen to anything! Any idea on what the problem might be? Thanks!
Though the video was blurry and the narrative was not clear, but the video was useful enough to get the stuck cd out from the player . I guess it was because i own the same Malibu model. The instruction will be better if it’s type written. But thanks anyway.
Didn’t work for me
