I just finished installing a new multifunction switch on my 2004 Impala. I had no low beams. I could not have done without this video. Thanks for the video. The switch cost $320 at Napa, but it probably would have cost me $700 if I had it done at a shop.
so would this be the same switch I replace for my brake lights? 2 brake lights don’t work but the bulbs are fine also the rear flashers (hazards) don’t work but the turn signals do work
Is this the same procedure as on a 2003 chevy impala? Thanks.
my 07 Grand Prix has a similar problem. The daytime running lights are out and the low beams are out. High beams work fine. Before they went out, whenever I used my turn signal at night, the high beams would come. But it progressed to no low beam lights or daytime running lights. I ordered a new switch. Hope this will resolve the problem.

Thanks so much for doing this video! I watched it several times and it made the difference. The only things I would comment are the tilt steering lever release… had a hard time finding that… other than that, great!
I have 2000 chevy impala for some reason had my driver door open bout 30min with the radio playing once I close door and started car up my headlights didnt come on and my horn not working they both was working b4 that 30 min period of time the door was open…my bulbs not blown where is the fuse or replay for the headlights and horn maybe its electrical problem Need help!

my impala has the same problem but my low beams dont work my high beams work could u help me out?
mine does this as well you have to hold it now to keep it on, where do you buy the switch ?

my headlights come on by them self when the car sits in the yard and sometimes they wont turn off when u turn the key off does anybody know what is doing this ive had to keep unhooking the battery everytime im done with the car
I know it’s hard to give advise over the internet for car repair; but my 03 impala headlights stopped working. relay ok, multifunction ok, daytime and brights run, and the automatic dimmer is sensing the day light right. The problem is the relay clicks, but no light ever comes on. Bulbs are fine, 12v is on the positive at the headlights. The relays even click but both lights never come on. I’ve heard that this is likely a bad BCM and expensive/dealer only. Is that true? I’m ready to jerry rig it

Thank you ! This video was very helpfull. I have 2007 Chevy malibu , and the left blinker started going out .It would only work when held down very hard. Ordered the Mulifuntion switch online , installed in 30 minutes with the help from this video . Also didn’t have to remove the .two screws was able to squeeze out and back in . Thanks again , good video !
thank you so much for this video. i havent done this yet (my dimmer switch just fucked the bucket as im typing this) but im going to follow this vid step by step. its great to know that there are still people out there that enjoy teaching and helping instead of screwing people for money. i once knew a fella just like you….he was my grandpa.

wish i could find an image however i cant, if i remember correctly its just a small piece you move slightly and wiggle the lever out. should be a small tab near the lever where it slides in. hope this helps, i have a free to join forum. at my website toolsandtime. com its easier to answer question on the forum. and there is some good techs that help me at times with the questions… feel free to stop in and check it out in addition we are not limited as far as posting images etc,

My impala has the problem, I followed what you did in this video. But the problem is I can’t get the steering wheel level adjustment handle( 5’55” in your video), can you show me a clear pic where is the clip you mentioned?
