Thanks man I have been working to long to get that off thank you
Your vid is much better than the rest, kudos.
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks so much!
I learned so much from watching this video. I have been online looking at
all the GMC videos on this type of repair and this one is the best. Thank
you for being so precise on everything. Much appreciated.
Very informative video, Well explained. :>)
So helpful! Thank you so much and God bless you too!
Excellent! Much better than the Hillbilly Bear that tried to explain it.
Thank you so much brother for your assistance….
How hard was it to get the lock into the new handle? I’ve seen a lot of
videos where they take the second interior door off as well, but if I’d
rather do it your way.
My only concern is not having enough room to get behind the lock to push it
into the new handle. Any insight?
thanks!
oh it is possible to take that handle out without releasing the key lock
out of handle first, but doing it without will bend the rod connected to
the handle itself, and you’re screwed…..happy to me today……should of
watched this first…..but oh well
I know that the installation is the reverse of the removal… It’s not my
first time… But the difficulties I found in installing the new handle
were in putting the lock cylinder back in the new handle. Seeing THAT would
have been tremendous! Giving “praise to God” & then wishing me a “blessed
day…” Well I still can’t get the cylinder to stay in place… The only
other videos I’ve been able to find are on anything BUT the ’99 Tahoe…
I’ve even seen something similar where the interior metal panel was removed
with the power window assembly… Just NOT how to do it… I removed the
bolts to be able to get my hand inside to fool around on the inside, but
all I got was scratched up forearm… And a cylinder which won’t lock into
place. I even removed the latch… That’s how I REALLY got it to all fit…
It’s just that last little pesky detail…
Thanks so much for sharing this video. It was a tremendous help to me!!!!
