I really wish car reviewers would stick to the merits/demerits of the
reviewed cars without constantly going through the laundry list of
competitors and how the car stacks up against them. A summary at the end
would be a good idea, but alot of them, if not all of them, tend to talk
about one feature and how it compares to each of its competitors, then talk
about another feature then go through the same list of competitors.
Don’t see how anyone could blow their cash on a caddy when they could get a
German or Japanese ride. Makes no sense.
I can only hear this out of the left speaker.
Also, why would anyone pay for the 4G connection just for the car? You can
just use an app on your smart phone to share your data connection with
other people in the car.
Piece of junk will be in the shop in 10 months then you will be treated
like shit at the service department telling you there is nothing wrong but
the check engine light has been on for 3 months.. Rattles like hell.

I wish Cadillac put the LCD screen from the CTS’ gauge cluster and put it
as an option for the ats. The ats gauge cluster looks so cheap in that
interior. Sticks out badly in an otherwise well appointed interior. However
the more I look at this car, the more I like it. I really like the wide
stance. Interested in the ats-v.
i think the lexus is350 is a much better car overall. better transmission,
great chassis, more comfortable, more reliable. get the f sport and it
beats everything in comparison tests. Plus the transmission in the ats is
not the greatest

I had a chance to sit in an ATS coupe. Personally, I would take the
4-series over the ATS coupe or the Lexus RC coupe for that matter. I am a
GM guy myself, but when it comes to buying a luxury/exotic car, I would
only look at the European imports. I like European and American cars, so I
am NOT an inbred redneck nor am my the kind that hates domestic cars with a
passion.
You should do some buyers’ guides for used cars.

I like the new generation of cadillac’s, but this one just looks too
generic and boring on the outside.

I feel bad for Cadillac. They’ve been brining some very competitive cars
lately but their sales haven’t been doing too well unfortunately.
Jesus those gauges look like some piece of carp 90’s commuter car.
It could be an awesome car, if they had better gauge cluster it reminds me
of my old Oldsmobile ciera cluster. I mean its exactly the same w/o the
screen. Lol
Not sure about the new emblem, it’s making the whole car look bland
compared to the round emblem. what do you guys think?

Looks great, but from experience – elongated coupe doors are a nightmare in
parking lots.
The red interior looks cool, I love this car, it looks like the more
expensive models, but still gives you nice features for the price you pay.

This is a solid car. I love everything about it. Interested to see how it
will compare to the new Infiniti Q coupe releasing next year. I feel as if
those two will compete well against each other.
Good review! I’ve always been a Caddy fan EVEN in there bad times. Its just
something about them HOWEVER they should have kept the crest it looks so
much better looking.

Yes, this car is handsome. Yes, this car is nimble (as Sofyan said ad
nauseum). But it’s not a game-changer. Just like the ATS. To be a game
changer, it takes more than an able chassis and steering, I’m sorry to
say. You need a world-besting engine and transmission combo. You need
top-notch electronics. You need dynamic styling (but maybe not as dynamic
as the Lexus RC). The ATS sedan is selling about 2000 units per month,
which is significantly below its direct competition for the same deficits
mentioned above. That won’t change much with this coupe. BTW, the CTS
sedan is suffering the same fate where it has world-class chassis and
steering, but almost everything else falls behind its direction competition
and it, too, lags in sales behind the big-hitters (E and 5).
That dash is straight out if the Chevy Cruze parts bin and the glossy
finish is a dust magnet. How could you call this premium?
I just rented the XTS for a week and loved it. I love the way this new ATS
coupe looks. I was never a fan of the way the CTS coupe looked didn’t like
that hatchback styling. With Infiniti and BMW having coupes I was hoping
cadilllac would come out with another styling coupe. Use to like the
Eldorado and Allante’ back in the day. Cadillac is getting their spark back
Saturn is like new coke. It never happened.
Just not really a fan of the coupe’s proportions, though it does have a
great ass. Overall, I much prefer the sedan and its more practical too.
So when is the review for that 2014 Mercedes Benz CLA250 that you guys did
a mouth ago will be up?
What neighborhood was he driving through? Some really nice houses on that
road.

The ATS is selling so poorly that GM is idling/laying off 350 employees at
the Lansing plant. Every luxury brand is seeing growth while Cadillac is in
the red. GM simply does not know how to run a business.
Now in regards to this coupe, the proportions are awkward, the new logo is
over-sized, the gauges are cheap, CUE is terrible, and the interior design
is unimpressive. This has no chance in the market against a very good
4-series, Lexus RC, and new iterations of the C-class coupe and A5 on their
way.

I agree w/ you about the Saturn-esque font on the gauges. I drove an SL-1
for years and that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw them.
