Jessica Smith says:

I could listen to you speak all day. You’re a very articulate, well spoken
man, and it’s obvious how intelligent you are. Not bad to look at either.
Plasti-dipping skills are also pretty impressive (to say the least).

Querencias7 says:

Great job Fonzie. I like your all-business / responsibility approach in
showing the excellent properties of PD, as well as your own expertise.
Thanks for these very helpful videos.

Jon Cianflone says:

just use index cards around the wheel besides taping around a wheel takes a
long time.

Risky Raj says:

after driving how long do you have to wait before you can cover the brakes?

lena bobena says:

How do you tape off the inside?

Mike Conwell says:

So, it really is that simple

teknodogg says:

so you left out how did you blue tape covered all the rotors and calipers
etc!!!???

Ryan Furse says:

If you were to use the liquid instead of the spray cans what thinner and
hardener ratio would you need to apply it through an air gun?

SpazDillinger says:

what about the air valve nosel?

David K says:

For everybody that’s wondering… Plasti dip is not permanent, so don’t be
afraid to spray your mama, daddy, rims, laptop etc.. Stop asking question
and just DO IT… This thing aint permanent.. LMAO..The more coats the
better…

Israel Silvaa says:

Hi I just bought a pair of rims for my car and I would like to plasti dip
them but they have a chrome lip and I want to plasti dip everything but the
chrome lip and the lip is to hard to mask off so I was wondering if you
could post a video on how to paint some rims like that. Thanks

Adekunle Owolabi says:

how long does this last?

BO Jankles says:

Do a video on deep dish wheels with only the inside of the rim being
painted leaving the chrome lip

Angie Leon says:

i bought vintage gold from dipyourcar.com and i just finished my rims and i
must say it came out amazing i had no problems with the can.

campz0r says:

That curb rash is still pretty visible.

MsLogik408 says:

I have some deep curb rash and I want to fill them using epoxy so it will
look better. I know I have to sand them down to make it the same level. But
do I have to prime the rim before the dip because i sanded it? Or can I
just go straight to the dip after I’ve sanded down the epoxy ?

diambo4life says:

I thought you were not supposed to shake the cans. It says so right on the
can not to do so.

JDMPresident says:

How many cans did he used?

DaytonCarCare says:

Might want to mention to clean the wheels real well before paint. Also you
can use a metal file or even a small 4″ grinding wheel to smooth out the
curb rash on the rim before paint. ☺

Ray Ban says:

Nice tutorial! There’s now a new product called “Tire Mask” by Minimizer
that’s a quick way to mask tires to dip. Way quicker than tape or flash
cards. Intended for trucks in all wheel sizes but you can carefully trim to
use on a car w/ an Exacto knife. My cousin painted his 18″ G35 rims with a
set of trimmed 17.5″ Tire Mask. They look bitchin- Cheers & keep up the
dippin’…

TheFillyFill says:

Do you think getting new tires would mess it all up? Meaning when they
balance the tires and just put them onto that machine to get the new tire
onto the rim. I was wanting to do this completely black out my stang lol

tasev1 says:

I will be getting a new car soon, and would consider PD for my wheels. A
couple questions though based on off-car work: 1. wheel nut seats: masking
might be hard, is it easy enough to take off to ensure proper seating of
the wheel nuts? 2. maintenance: when shops repair flats, or you change your
tires and reballance, is it easy to touch up? 3: how easy is PD to remove?

dani martinez says:

How come when I plasti dipped my rims it started peeling off when I started
driving? Was I supposed to prime or sand before?

Liam Wall says:

i did this and it came out out like bubbly, straight from the can. it was
coming out a lot different then in this video. i shook it up a lot too,
and it still came out like watery. help?

The Real Nutmeg says:

The paint on my rims is chipping, should i sand them before i plastidip or
no?

GamerTimeUSA says:

How many cans do you recommend for all 4 rims and do you have to get the
tire stuff so the Plastidip will come off

muhammid ali says:

plasti dipped the weight? lol

Steven Steele Jr says:

Hey, you can use the tiny balloons to slide over your bolts if you don’t
want those painted.

sleepybrown987 says:

im confused, how did u get the tape on the calipers?

Veeka L says:

I came to watch this video before starting on my car.. I did a double-take
when I realized I had those exact same rims.. And that car! 04 CTS! My car
is black, and looks fantastic with black rims. It was as easy as I’ve
heard, but oh my god my arms and legs.. I’m exhausted.

brknlullaby says:

How would you remove it or fix any peeling?

TooKutiful says:

Hi first how many cans would you recommend I need for at least 7 coats on
all for rims? Second is there a way I can cover all matte black and once
dry tape it off to color some trim in the fierce pink?..thank you

Stephen Chimenti says:

What do you do when you cant get in the rims to tape the brakes? My rims
have lots of spokes so i cant get my hand in there.

Charlie Paschal says:

So I just dipped my spare wheel on my jeep wrangler (first car and can’t
afford new wheels so I’m having a little fun with the plasti dip its some
cool stuff) and it looks great I love it, but it has a really gritty
pattern on it and it feels almost kind of flakey I am almost 100% sure I
used this same kind of plasti dip but his doesn’t have that look, his looks
more smooth. Did I do something wrong? or does the camera just not pick it
up? Thanks so much I appreciate the help, drive safe.

HellBoundsOnMyTrail says:

Great vid thanks. Im about to do mine now, thanks.

GeorgeLogic says:

Wow! This is great. I had planned to do it a totally different way. That’s
amazing!
