Hey is how do you change the bottom corner light is their an access port threw the back or is it time for a whole new light

Cadillac Engineers can go F themselves. You morons better get your S together or we will go back to buying foreign cars again.

mourerj says:

True HID lamps involve more than just a bulb – the power supply is different. Sore-purchased lights that claim to be “HD” and so on just tend to have a low color temperature (more blue) and don’t actually provide more usable light. A stock / OEM HID system should only be replaced with a specific (expensive) bulb — I wouldn’t risk generic or replacement types.

Yader Delgado says:

fuckers cadillac enginners …they suck ..they just want you to take it to the damn dealer and charge you 200 bucks for that stupid bulb….thats it!!!!!!!

00walk says:

Yep, the shit is ridiculous. Trying to make make a extra buck is what they are doing.

mmanch01 says:

So basically, you have to have to pull the damned car appart in order to replace a stupid headlight. Some of these car makers are ridiculuos!

Thumbs up – Good tutorial.

Dude you been posting on cadillacs for a minute…you the reason I decided to my own thing on mine, I follow your post on making the air charger that was cool but we both agreed when it kept throwing a check light, now I have to change my bulbs but want to go to a 8k setup since I have to pull the bumper off, have you changed yours and if so is the wiring easy to install from what I understand you have to add a wiring harness..thanks

My little light in the bottom corner of the headlight assembly went out, is it possible to replace it without pulling the entire headlight assembly out?

You made me dizzy with your around the world camera spins. Going back and forth to one side then the next , then back to the other side and back and forth and back and forth.

00walk says:

thanks for the info. Removing the bumper seemed less of a headache to me than when I tried to do that back when the bulb went out. Also if one bulb goes out people, it might be a good time to replace both as a pair!

USE A MEDIUM SIZE SOCKET 7MM TO UNSCREW THE SCREWS HOLDING THE BACK PLATE. I HEAD TO UNSCREW WITH MY FINGERS AND NO SOCKET WRENCH, JUST TWIST THE SOCKET WITH YOUR FINGERS.

heritage2josh says:

YOU DON’T NEED TO REMOVE THE BUMPER TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM!!!! MOVE THE FUSEBOX AND YOU CAN ACCESS THE BACK PLATE COVERING THE BULBS. YOU CAN ONLY REMOVE THREE OF THE SCREWS HOLDING THE BACK PLATE, BUT YOU CAN TWIST THE BACK PLATE ENOUGH TO ACCESS THE LOW BEAM BULB.

00walk says:

those bulbs will definitely look different. My advice is to go to the dealer with the last 8 of your vin and tell them in the service dept. you want a copy of the build sheet. That info should be on there.

I’m just curious.. are the HID bulbs and standard Hallogen bulbs different? I have a 2008 CTS4 with I believe an HID system and today a low-beam went out on the passenger side. I went and picked up some Sylvania Silverstar Ultra’s from the auto-parts store, but now I’m beginning to believe that I need a different kind of bulb to work with the stock HID system. These Sylvania’s are H11 fitment, but I believe they are Hallogen and not HID. Any help would be appreciated guys! e-mail/comment here.

If you are changing the driver side bulb the bumper DOES NOT NEED TO BE REMOVED. Remove the air filter, we did remove the wheel and the shroud in the wheel well, I was able to remove three of the screws, on the forth one I drilled a 3.8 hole to line up with the fourth screw, then removed it using an extension inserted through the hole, the dust cover and replace the bulb. Pu-ting things back together is a snap..ltmeuer@tx.rr.com

I’m sure you have already been given a price for the labor on this jobthat might be a lil outrageous.

Don’t get me wrong great video..just can’t believe I have to go through all this just to change a light bulb. I was wondering what I was doing wrong..

00walk says:

please feel free to elaborate more of your point.
