Nicely done. My local car repair shop want several hundreds in labor plus parts to repair my rear window. I took me less than an hour to do it myself. Thank you.

SRLMOTION says:

Well I greatly appreciate this video & the comments! I purchased a set from you and will get started sometime next week.

I took my door panel off and the wire is off the wheel, Should I still replace it or can I put cable back on? I have a 2005 cts.

1aauto says:

You may want to remove the door panel and make the window go up and down, and see if the window regulator is hanging up on anything.

CountryBoyFord7 says:

my 2005 srx is making a bad grinding sound when I try to roll down the rear window. what could this be?

1aauto says:

You can hold the window up with some duct tape on the outer edge to keep it from falling.

1aauto says:

You may want to keep a little pressure on it or support it just in case.

Chace Elliott says:

Is there something you have to do to hold the window up when you are loosening the regulator from the window, so it doesn’t fall down and break?

1aauto says:

Thanks for watching

theoriginalguy11 says:

Sweeet, thanks.

1aauto says:

On this particular vehicle it’s mounted to the panel.

wooskywoo says:

Quick question, is the rear speaker normally attatched to the door panel? Or was that just for time saving purposes for the video?

Make sure that there isn’t a pinched or crossed wire on the wiper switch that could be causing this issue.
Check the power to the window motor, if it has power to it the window motor may be bad. We carry new window motors and window regulators on out website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

I have 2004 Cadillac CTS my right rear passenger side window do not work the only action i get from it when u try operate it from the from drive side is just a little noise so i know that there is power going around there but it don’t work, i would like to know it a motor/ regulator problem? and also do you have any video on diagnose/repairing windshield wiper the wiper wont turn off when you plug it in? thank you for the videos.

truthshallsetufree79 says:

Great video and thank you for making it. I not only bought my new regulator from you guys but following your vid I was able to install it myself in about a 1/2 hr. You saved me time and about $400 in parts & labor from my caddy dealer. Keep up the good work.

1aauto says:

It may. You might want to check the wire harness between the door and body of the car for a frayed or broken wire that may be causing this issue. You could also take the door panel off to see if there’s a frayed wire inside of the door making contact with a piece of metal.

Lee Bacott says:

So my regulator went out, but at the same time I developed an electrical short somewhere in the vehicle. Occasionally I’ll hear a noise from the rear door as I’m driving, but I’m not sure what the culprit is. Could the regulator going out contribute to an electrical short like this?

Thank you for choosing us for your replacement parts! Have a great day.

DWINTA1 says:

I ordered the rear passanger door window regulator from your website. Super fast shipping I recieved it two days later. I haven’t fixed anything on my car before but installed it easily following the instructions in this video. My window was stuck halfway down and upon opening the door panel and removing the old regulator I could see the cable was snapped. I put the motor on the new regulator and now every thing is working like new. Thanks for saving me money!
