Driving around in the Texas heat without air conditioning, you have to roll the windows down. Problem is, I can’t get them to go back up. I walk through swapping the motors out and adjusting all the guides to get them working again.

When my dude said it cost…… not a small amount of money. Bro, as a fellow 66 owner, I feel your pain. So many times I was so close to saying eff this car and sell it. But yet here I am on ebay and any website I can find looking for parts still lol
The motors are rebuildable, I fixed issues in all 8 window motors of a 67 Cadillac all 4 of the window motors had 1 issue… the plug prongs on the motors rusted off… So I took the motors apart cleaned them, lubricated them, replaced the brushes, soldered new wires onto the brushes with new copper plug ends, and sealed the motors with silicone. The 4 wing window motors just needed cleaned & lubed none of worked because of grease & dirt on the commutators. I then fixed and cleaned the loops in the plugs at the window switches & cleaned each switch. I took time but very little money and took just a weekend to do. I also cleaned the door grounds to get the door lights & cigarette lighters to work at the same time. The 67s have removable armrest pads to give access to that nightmare door latch handle screw, What a time saver! I weep when I have to remove the door panels of my 65. I saved the guy with the 67 Cadillac $600.00 and made 300 for that weekend That was back in the 90s.
