Have you thought about shimming it for the re-install after paint? (I’m not sure if that would even work without knowing HOW it mounts) or is the 1/4-1/2” gap a good thing given how a pickup should flex and allowing for space to rattle when driving over Lewisporte’s potholy roads?
Awesome!!! Lined up pretty good just by eyeballing. I usually do like you said. Mount bumper "if you have it" tack from under, remove bumper n burn brackets in. This works just as easy on the duramax 2500/3500 chassis.
Very nicely done!
