Will you take out the thermostat of a North Northstar engine do you need a gasket glue to put back on it
I have a 2007 buick lucerne with a 8 cyl Northstar engine wasn't sure where the thermostat was . This engine looks like the same set up I've got. Thanks much for the info !!

Your horn is beeping…
This is a great video
Excellent job. Although i know about doing it quick to retain fluid, it would have been the best part and the most educational, because people could see what you have to do to save money on antifreeze.Awesome though and well done.
Hey Bro, is this about the same procedure on a 97 Cadillac Seville SLS? I think my thermostat is bad
Dont you have to bleed the air out the cooling system when changing the thermostat and thermostat housing?
Was there an o-ring or a sealant between your thermostat and the thermostat housing? I changed mine out and the coolant is just leaking out the thermostat area . The thermostat you used is the same one as mine its just metal no sealant around the thermostat. I cant recall when i took it apart if there was an oring on the housing itself or not
Nice video! Question, neither of my fans turn on at all and my car is over heating, could this be caused by a stuck thermostat?
You helped me. Thank you so much.
Looks pretty cut and dry. Ima give it a shot…
