Those little grey clips on the fuel injectors should not come off, first, like you say. Leave them on, just pull them up about a quarter inch, and squeeze on them and the connector; they both come off together. If you take the grey keeper off completely, you'll never get the connector off. The grey keeper is there to be used as a tool of sorts, to enable you to get both it and the connector off, as a unit.
Great video. Just a suggestion. Soak just the tips of the injectors in acetone/gas while you do the work. Clean the tips really well before installing back in the manifold.
Fucking Cadillac and their bullshit Northstar engines.. They Try making shit as difficult as possible so people dont even want to attempt a diy project and say "fuck it" and take it to a shop so youre forced to pay ridiculous labor charges. Love Cadillac body and luxurious feel amd ride but if its a northstar engine ill pass. Theyre a pain in the ass and not at all dependable. Very prone to head/head gasket issues.
clay please save me money here.. I have my 2007 cadillac dts I changed the starter reset ecu new fuses & the car still won't start.. i put a aftermarket radio after a year I put the original back in because it keep on blowing a starting fuse I don't know what else to do
I came online to fine this other video because it was in good detail and it also let you know what special tools you will need to complete the task / job but I haven't found the one that I am looking for even though I am still hopeful but Clay did a pretty good job in his instructions and I thank him for all of his efforts to help us / people like us that need help……God bless the Roger family. In Jesus name. Amen!
Hey thanks…I'm changing the starter on my 2001 Cadillac DTS I was going to have a mechanic do it to the tune of $250 but after seeing this video I can do it myself…thanks for this video
Awesome video, help me greatly replacing my starter… Much easier when you have a video to fall back on when you see that one nut or bolt and think hmmm where did that go lol.. Many thanks again…
