There is a sensor in the front passenger seat that detects when someone is sitting in the car,,,, in that year caddy it was known to malfunction putting a drawl on the battery,, also there was problems from what I hear with the heated seats activating causing a power drain when the car was off, then there is also the complex radio try dis connecting either of those one by one and see if any of those common problems were the problem…..also there is the trunk light, take out the fuse for the trunk light,,,, and the glove box switch…..
It's the bcm ( body control module ) it's not turning that off when you turn the key off.
Hi, I have a NorthStar V8 in my 2006 Buick Lucerne CXL. Same problem. Bought a brand new battery. My brother who has owns/operates his own rig helped me install as in my car the battery is under the back seat. He took one look at it and it was the negative lead. The connector was stripped. We replaced the lead, installed the battery and the problem is gone. I bought the car and the previous owner told me he took it into the dealership twice and they could not diagnose the problem.
Easier solution to disconnecting the battery is to put the car in "storage mode" done through your buttons on the left of the steering wheel. That's what I do with my 97 every time I park it. Instructions online. Google it.
You know they make a remote electric battery disconnect that's what I have in my 94 that looks like a car alarm keychain and you just hit the button and it turns it off and on you can find them on Amazon and eBay they're only like 60 bucks and they're easy to install

Sorry to tell you but that is not a good solution if you disconnect the main battery the computer for the engine resets and has to relearn adaptive values every time in Texas it would not pass state inspection if the monitors are not set properly
I have a 1998 DeVille and I found that with the remote receiver connected the battery will drain down in three or four days.I found that with the remote receiver disconnected the battery will last for more than 2 months.I checked my remote controls and they seem to be okay maybe I'm getting an external interference to my remote receiver I don't know what more I can do
If your deville has a cd played in the trunk check it by unplugging it. fixed my power drain
Some of these had HVAC blower motors that caused a drain. Disconnect the blower motor and see if the drain goes away.
anybody find an issue I have the same problem 2002 seville sos but mine drains over night. so I just unplug the battery when I'm done. I think it might be the alternator because battery is good nd just changed the starter cause it was bad .
