Hey wats the size of the led in headlight?

jmart2688 says:

im sure someone already asked, but where did u get the LED for the front headlamp corner?

2201laenb says:

got LEDS from “V-LEDS” search them.
fogs can be re-aimed yourself. Small holes under the damn just behind fog housings. Will need female torx socket and extension to reach up in. Will beed 1/4 ratchet, extension and female torx set from sears. It will allow adjustment up / down. Spec is “top of fog beam is 18″ from groung at 25ft away, on level ground”.

2201laenb says:

Danrob, the fogs are no problem. The original lenses do refract the beam to help focus, but you can re aim them. You will need a female torx bit and can go from under the dam easily. 18″ to

Thanks for the info, I’ve heard this mod will cause the fog lights to be poorly aimed and useless, do you find this true or is it not as bad as people say? because i love the look of the lexan. Also, where did you get the LED’s for the triangle in the headlight, turn signals, and side markers? Thanks again!

2201laenb says:

DanRon, no I sent my fogs to a guy who installed the lexan. If i were to do it again, I would mod myself. Stick them in oven for about 10 min 350 will break down adhesive then you can trim and glue (epoxy) new all clear lexan to the housings. I found the guy on ebay. I do not see him but there are factory all clears on ebay for 265. those who have done it say they spens about 2 hours and $10 in material. The guy did mine for 65 without shipping.

DanRob0123 says:

Did you do the foglight mod yourself? I like the look of the clear fogs what did you use, lexan glass? where can I pick up some? I was thinking of doing the same mod. thanks

2201laenb says:

I know. I wanted the lower current draw from the LEDs and not have to worry about the resistors getting hot and burning or melting anything.. The board could be replaced anytime and resistors could be added. This is just an alternative.

Chad Baldwin says:

instead of breaking the comparitor circuit, you could have just added a resistor. And it would make it flash as normal.
