Valvaguy says:

That used engine will surely need a quick spray of "brake clean". Will it not? He,he.

Jason Kleinman says:

The one that came out sure looks a whole lot nicer then whats going in. Makes you wonder what the heck happened to the original. At some point they're gonna end up selling a low mileage car and getting a premium for it even though the engine likely has 5x the amount on the odometer.

Michael Willis says:

my knees and back are aching just watching

Ed says:

Eric O: No need to apologize, your an amazing detailed mechanic. Thanks for bringing us along on your project.

CP The Tool Addict says:

Anyone that disagrees with your methods of used engine replacement is a fool or has somehow miraculously never been screwed but that would be 1 In a million lol

AR M says:

That junkyard engine has a leaking headgasket, would be wise to flip the new valve cover and al new parts such as the waterpump, fuel pressure pump, sensors from the new engine to the old junkyard engine!

ron watson says:

Good stuff! Let's put her back.

123bigred says:

my 2007 monte carlo 3.5 v6 at 265,000 is still running strong. this already needs replacing??

Swallow Inn says:

Hello Eric buy the lift table quick before Mrs O changes her mind. As others have said you will not regret having one. ( Boys and our toys) You can never have too many Tools.

ToughAncientSpark says:

The problem with junkyard engines is even if the vehicle is hit in the rear or side, there's a chance that engine is damaged because of the inertia forces on the cam shaft and crankshaft while running causing oil seals, bearings, and other mechanical components to be damaged.
It's always a roll of the dice.
I had a car involved in a rear end low impact accident. Right after the transmission made a funny noise. I had a real hard time getting the other insurance company to pay for a bearing replacement.

Hack says:

We will be here, keep on.

Spike Protien says:

Swap that harness while its fresh in your mind.

SuperM1687 says:

Surprised you took this job on considering your success on YouTube and all the brake jobs that could have been done in its place.

Pete Nebber says:

I hope you are charging a bundle for this BIG job.

Bluethunder says:

Regardless of the issue with the original motor, as long as it didn’t have any cracks in the block or heads it would be better to rebuild it, that way you know what you have, this junk yard engine could be garbage from the get go and now it’s starting from square one again. Poor decision by the costumer imo.

George Mogle says:

Is it just me? A Caddy with 4 cylinder engine!!!! I know that is the name of the game, but what sacrilege.

ToughAncientSpark says:

@2:25 $400 for a one year warranty on a used engine from the junkyard?
Sounds like a bargain and cheap insurance to me!

Jim Gerock says:

I’m wondering if that clean core engine would be resold as a “good used” one that someone thinks is ok, then it has to be removed (again). Buyer beware indeed.

EDDIE JONES says:

It’s ok with me how and when you upload your video has long has we see the end results. My wife loves Soaps and in the U.K. you can almost go all night watching them so that’s why I like watching the soaps you and other people but on YouTube because I Absolutely hate British soaps on are Tv

Riverflyswatter says:

You be you. That’s why i tuned in. Thanks

ToughAncientSpark says:

@1:50 When I had my RV and mobile home repair business, many times customers would buy awnings from Camping World because they were less expensive than my cost.
They would ask me if I would install it even though they bought it elsewhere. I never had a problem taking their money to install an awning from a wholesaler. I charged the same as if I sold the awning.
To me it was work that I got paid for and besides while installing the awning, I usually ended up with other work from the same customer and neighbors stopping by checking out the job!
