Why did you put all the parts together without showing us the step by step
process? This defeated the whole purpose of this video.
We’re sorry to hear that, but keep in mind this video is intended to show
the features and benefits of the kit rather than serving as a comprehensive
step-by-step installation video. We welcome any constructive feedback you
might have regarding our instructions and encourage you to give our tech
line a call at 800-498-6951 or e-mail us at airaidinfo@airaid.com.
This video was not very helpful. You left out the most complicated parts of
the install which are not clearly depicted in the instructions, such as how
to actually assemble the box and attach it to the car.
I had the Airaid installed in me CTS Vagon with very favorable results
Great news, and thanks for the feedback.
does the air intake improve the gas mileage?
It most certainly can, however that will all depend on your driving style
and driving conditions. If driven conservative, I see no reason why you
could not see a gain in MPG.
Just ordered mine!
Do you see any difference in gains between the oiled version vs the
non-oiled version filter? It looks like on your site, you are seeing more
flow with the oiled version.
@jwise36 : I appreciate your fine comments and YES we saw 28HP & 43Ft-LBS
Of Torque with our AIRAID system over the OEM intake system. Keep in mind,
The CTS-V is breathing through the same small airbox that the V6 CTS models
breathe through, so on a Supercharged application you are going to see
larger than average gains.
you sir have the most annoying voice i have ever heard, but, if you are
actually making the claims of 28hp and 44 LB/ft i want your product
Cliff, you are correct that the oiled filter flows slightly better than the
dry version, but keep in mind that we oversize the filters we use in our
kits quite a bit, so basically the filter is capable of flowing more air
than the engine could ever demand. As a result, there is no performance
difference between the two filter types. Great question, though!
