I got my money back from GM because of this safety fault. It took some time
and persistence, and probably all these views on You Tube to convince them
not to risk our lives with a car that turns off for no good reason.

chicks that drive manuals are sexy :-)

pretty sure your just bad at driving a manual…look at what you did right
before the car dies and then again trying to start it….baddy

I just joined the forum. Thanks for the info, I had been meaning to do so
before. I had given the forum posts to the service tech who worked on my
car, hoping it would help him believe me, and try the fixes. Now I will
answer the customer care guy, who commented on my other video, and see what
happens next. I want to believe the dealer will in fact trade it out, but
fear I will be ignored, like the other forum members, like Joe above.

Joe Evans says:

I’m on the Cadillac Forums group mentioned by Jeff. I’m trying the Lemon
law route but have yet to get much traction. This video is a perfect
illustration of the problem, I have 2 young children and it stalling while
turning is my biggest fear. It’s happened to me twice while turning and
countless other times while slowing or stopped.

Joe Evans says:

One more thing that compounds this problem is the lack of knowing its dead.
When you stall a car, any car, every car I’ve had…. there is typically an
oil pressure warning tone and all the start up warning lights light up. The
ATS does not. The electric rack also stays on so you cant tell from the
lack of power steering.

We have a thread on this on Cadillac Forums titled 2013 2.0T 6spd
stalling… Google it and join if you have a chance, we’re also getting
nowhere with GM.

Jeff Anton says:

I am in the same situation as you, the dealer blamed me and said that after
data logging the vehicle that it is me who is stalling it! I haven’t had
the chance to catch it on video yet (it’s a pain having to record every
time/swap batteries) however I may attempt again. Mine will be fine for a
good couple of weeks, and then all of a sudden start doing it again. Very
frustrating and a major safety concern!..
