We use a 10/40. We use a good oil. Filter is obtainable at any auto parts
store. We found that Auto Zone has good deals on oil change kits that come
with oil, filter, air filter, drain pan, hand cleaner and shop towels. We
also run lucas oil treatment on occasion to add to the longevity of the

i myself run 10w30 penzoil 7 quarts and 1 quart of lucas with purelator
filter and replace the oil every 2000-2500 miles or 3 months which ever
comes first and top it off once a week she will use that oil a bit cause
the l37 32v v8 northstar runs warm but runs strong ive put 5000 on mine
since x mas and 3 oil changes and had it dyno tuned but oil is a kinda off
personal preferance like boxers or briefs but i would say go a weight
higher it calls for 5 w 30 but i run 10 w 30 myself so …
i run 10 w 30 but i might try that in august when i get it changed i bought
mine with 5 w 30 in it topped off at the lot drove it home a week later it
was about 1 and a half quarts low so i bumped it up a weight still drinks
the oil a bit but thats a northstar l37 engine runs strong till it runs in
the ground
very helpful usually takes me 15 minutes should have about cut that time in
half but the ass who changed it at jiffy lube torqued the filter on there
good but i fixed that thank god for a old rubber glove for grip

How do you fill half the quart? And why does mine say use 5w30
Northstars burns alot of oil 10 40 mobil1 synthetic is the best way to go
10 30 ok but the thicker i felt more increase of hp
