what's the torque specs for the inner tie rod
I did this job a while back on my 99 Deville (Same exact set up). While you made a great video, I would suggest using a GM Inner Tie Rod Crimping Tool to crimp the new tie rod in place. Not sure if its absolutely necessary, but GM does it at the factory and I certainly don't want to be the one driving if this thing comes loose.
I also want to say that your video was very helpful thank you. I tried renting the kits from oreilys and autozone but they didn't have the right piece with them. Do you know which size the piece is? I found item # 69619 at harbor freight and I'm gonna head that way to pick it up if it's right?

My method of refitting the tierod end is to mark the position of the lock nut on the old rack end and match it up to the new one on the bench..That way thread counts and number of turns doesn't matter…It works for me.

The tool does well, there's so many inner tie rod tools and styles. The replacement parts don't always match up like you shown good idea of two reference points. Cheers.
