I just want to note that the jack stand placement in this video is very bad. I was in a hurry and threw them under the trailing arms as an emergency safety thing, but that is not a good place to put then and afterward i regretted it.

You have to be able to slow down to go fast! How is the repair from the flare tool holding up?

Derrick Odyes says:

Regal suspension looks same as Monte Carlo not grand prix. Has lighter parts in rear and front suspension. With both side by side im curious if heavy grand prix parts will fit on the regal

I got a complete set from fine lines for my grand prixs. I got stainless complete brake and fuel line set but they have coated steel too very reasonable

I highly dislike doing brake lines. I've done so many thanks the 90-00 GM trucks. I've got a flaring tool that lets you flare on the vehicle. It's bad ass and super easy to get a perfect flare. Honestly I've stopped using my big flare set and I've started to only use the small on vehicle on.

Timely video for me. I've got an 04 Impala whose brake lines have some deep rust spots on them. Thank you for making your vids. Your channel has been very helpful for me.

Really great tips on making your own lines. That is a huge skill to have if you work on cars.

I didnt know how to do that yet. Now I know it! Very good video.

Funny, when my metal lines needed to be replaced by a " shop" they actually asked if I wanted to have it fixed on an old car cause it was alot of work. Lazy.

Hey if you have to skim a little on brake line unions you can actually use the originals under the rear seat just before they bend upward towards the rear crossmember,, u just have to be careful.. ( not too rusted ) GM uses male to female unions ( double flare to bubble ) it basically kisses both those lines together coming from one end to the other and then run new line to the rear wheel,, did mine this way 10yrs ago and no issue,, it's just a suggestion, I try to re-use as much of the original hardware as possible,, could also cut the old brake line nut off old line and re-use that unless it's stuck to the line, then you'd have to drill it out but not many people do that since it's simpler to buy new nut,, another thing too which is very important,, there are two brass equalizers in those lines, one on left and one on right,, they're behind the tire somewhere in wheelwell I believe along the unibody next to the crossmember,, these actually reduce some brake line pressure to those rear wheels so it won't be too sensitive or over powering compared to the front,, I kno this because when I did my rear lines I forgot them and had to re-flare those back in,, Cool video!!
