My 1994 Buck Lesabre started stalling on light and then engine stops, can not start right away but after 40 sec it starts, pickup has been down for last 2 months, I have already put new Delco plugs, wires, all three new ignition coils and new air filter. What could be the problem please? should I try injector cleaner or change fuel filter? Thanks.

I have a 1994 buick it lesaber and it cuts off wen i drive in stop n go traffic wen i take my foot off the gas but it runs good on the highway do you any idea y that would happen

bah53 says:

If you turned the car off and it wont restart try holding the gas to the floor and starting it, sometimes this works. If doesn’t or it died while it was running, start by checking for spark and fuel.

Man thanks that video explained a lot ur a life saver

bah53 says:

Before taking the fuel pump out I would verify that it is the problem. On the older ones there is a harness underneath the car that goes to the fuel tank that you can unplug. Take a meter or a test light and hook it up to the fuel pump wires and have someone turn the key on. The fuel pump wires should be the bigger two. If you are getting power to the pump then the pump is the problem, if not the problem is further up, something like a relay, fuse etc..

Gonna take a shot at changing fuel pump on a 2003 buick lesabre. Parked the car one night and the next day just wouldn’t start, then I read several articales about the symptoms of fuel pump failure so u hope that’s what it is ! any insights you might be able to extend ? Thanks

All seems completely understandable. I agree with ya bud!

blazerlover25 says:

just my 2cents but thats common on foreign cars to have an access hole for the fuel pump our 2004 kia optima has the access panel as well as hondas have them too and that is why american cars are loosing to foreign cars because the japs koreans etc all thought it out on making repairs easy

mbyr31 says:

They sure don’t make them easy to replace! I had to replace the one in my ’02 S-10….PAIN IN THE ASS!
Nice drive too.

bergercw says:

ya like my 1983 s10 its not pritty its got a few wholes dirty its not a vehical i would want to drive cross country (but it would make it if i needed to lol) but its fun to drive and gets great MPG and gets you from A to B and then to C and then back to A. best $500 i ever spent always starts but it can be cranky in the cold but she will go after a few trys but once shes warm up she runs like a dream that all i care about i know how to make it go but no one else can lol i dont need anti theft

CXW429 says:

Haha well, my bro is used to working on GM’s, he was frigging around under the Corolla for probably 5 hours and had no luck, then the back seat came out, done in 20 mins lol.

462ANIMAL says:

Oh I know if it aint broke don’t fix it!LOL

bah53 says:

The fuel lines are pretty nasty but as long as they’re not leaking I’m sure not gonna touch’em lol

bah53 says:

It would have been nice if they put an access panel under the seat, but no, GM makes you work for it lol.

462ANIMAL says:

I’ve never broke a gas tank strap bolt, I always hammer on a impact socket and use the 1/2 inch gun.Your fuel lines are lookin a bit nasty at the sender conections!

CXW429 says:

I have a 92 Corolla, last time I had to do anything with the fuel pump I removed the back seat, which I know is common with most Toyota’s… I can assume that the Buick’s or GM’s in general you can’t just do that, eh? Haha good video though!

More350Power says:

Car doesnt have to look good as long as it gets you from a to b and no crucial parts fall off, lol. I hate them tank strap bolts, rarely have I ever been able to get them out unless its a newer car. Looks like you got plenty of snow, I got plenty of ice!
