I know it’s a year later, but there’s still a chance that someone will come
across this post through a search or something. All the colors from my
adapter for my 95 I got from Crutchfield match the colors on my Alpine Head
Unit. I was going to write up a detailed explanation of each wire, but
Youtubes character limit stopped me less than half way… Lol This page
might help you:

Thanks for the video!! I was gonna have a friend remove my old one &
install my new deck but it actually doesn’t look to bad, may just do it
myself 🙂

Adarius Davis says:

Hey hopefully you see this I have a 93 lesabre and I’m trying to set up a
head unit and need to know how to take out the radio and stuff if you have
any info I appreciate it

FlyBoy Luciano says:

I did this successfully with your video. It took me almost an hour in a
half because I did it at night. And I left my interior light on for so
long. It killed my battery. So I couldn’t move my gear to pull off the
dashboard. I have a 98 Lesabre and didn’t need to take off the vents. I
cracked the dash a little from bending it to pull out the radio. But I’m
giving it to charity anyway.

Dude thanks for making this video. It really helped me with the install
process for my new radio.

Andrew Hyland says:

cool radio and ac controls theft 101 now i learnt something lol

Captain Southbird says:

Seems he’s pretty much parting out some of these vehicles, so I don’t think
he’s particularly worried about it

bah53 says:

lol steal the ones that have stock cd players, they’re worth more

cwill1019 says:

He jus throws the screws which ever which way!!! Lol

bah53 says:

back half of the car and the doors are gone so no speakers to listen with

upiu695 says:

It looks like he is demonstrating on a salvage car so that is probably why
he throws the screws around. He won’t be needing them again

Andrew Hyland says:

dont you want the radio in there for some tunage while cruising?

Joel Cieslak says:

on the temp controls. do they have lights in the back? cuz in mine only
half of it lights up and i wanna fix it. got any pointers?

wispofdespair says:

Just used this to install an old Blaupunkt in a ’92 Buick LeSabre in place
of the stock radio that was completely out (antenna would go up and down
randomly, lol) I prob wouldn’t have gotten past the blower vents. Lot of
screws but all pretty easy thanks to the poster. The only difference in the
’92 was the stereo brackets, they mounted on the top and bottom instead of
the sides, but lined right up with the chassis kit I had originally
purchased at Crutchfield for a different car years ago.

iluvelagg says:

Very good. My dad wanted to know this, and I have to do it. D;

styleflow90 says:

i tried doing this on a 94 but the radio wouldnt move :/

517bubby says:

if your trying to install a aftermarket stereo without a factory adapter ,
just using wire to wire and the head uint ask for there wire with these
wires , which wire are they? * * * * * :Black-Ground
:Red-Accessory,existing ignition circuit/switched /12vSource
:Yellow-Memory,connect to batterycircuit/constant 12vSource? *its a 94 by
the way

bah53 says:

Removing the radio on a 93 should be basically the same as the 95
