i've got a 1998 oldsmobile. the other day the key just turned freely, and no starting. now we've got it apart to this point but can't figure if it's the ignition cylinder or the switch. Really up the creek on this one.

What do I do if I lost they original keys? I’m thinking about checking the code on the ignition cylinder to get it cut by the dealer but I heard you need the key to get the actual cylinder out

I have the same problem it jammed in he on position can't turn it off it's a 94 Buick century, had to remove the fuse to stop it n battery cable ,how much dose this cost to repair this ,and do I need a lock Smith or ?

Will B says:

I have a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice I am about to purchase, the gentleman lost the key for it but has a new cylinder. Do you think this is possible without a key or not? Similar procedure I imagine but this car has no chip in the key.

Annette Gonzales says:

When I start my 97 Buick Rivera it will not stay on the on position. It turns the car off. Does that mean I will have to replace the ignition cylinder?

LastHope says:

Hi, I was wondering what model of puller you used for the steering wheel, you mentioned it would be in the description however I can't seem to find the link for it.

Watching this as I need to do my turn signal switch, video seemed relevant for disassembly I just don't know which puller to use.

bill says:

Can anyone tell me if these are the same steps for a 1995 buick riviera? I took it to a mechanic and he tore the dashboard up attempting to fix this and it still isn't fixed.
