brush and some bar and chain oil is one of the best DIY rust proofing
things you can do. It may be a little late now, but something to consider
because that stuff is tacky and stays on.

The newused axle looked like it had some newer brake parts on it minus the
hoses. So thats a good deal. Hopefully the bearings are good.

Man I hate that you guys have to deal with that up there. There are at
least 6 of those cars sitting in my favorite junkyard and they don;t rust
down here. If you have a need for a safety-related part like that again
maybe we can work out a way to get a southern part up to you.

You know what the other achilles heel is on those…the engine cradle.
