Had the issue with my 92 this winter I fixed a lot of UN needed parts till I found out it was the crankshaft sensor. I paid to put it in it looked complicated.

I’m having the same issue right now!! It’s 64 degrees here in ct and my 97 lesabre won’t start! The starter is turning but no fire over!!

To pull the balancer on the 3300 V6 in my Century which is similar to the 3800 i just used an ordinary 3 ear steering wheel puller with 3 1/4 28 fine thread bolts with multiple washers. I just screwed the bolts in only a 1/4 of the way in to prevent the crank sensor from being trashed, and i used the washers to adjust the puller to prevent it being crooked when pulling the balancer. Worked like a charm.

You pulled the harmonic balancer with a jaw-type puller??? Lucky you didnt pull the damn thing apart, lol…

Sounds like the exact same thing mine was doing. Not sure that is what your issue is without seeing it.

My buick lesabre turns off while driving its gettin gas & firing wont start back up would this b my problem?

victorypromotion says:

I didn’t use any special tools.

acidcrashdburnd says:

did you need a special tool to align the sensor? I plan to do this on my 93 as it will randomly not start/no spark

This was some what helpful before I continued my work on my Park Ave. I hope it’s the same way. The engine set up looks to be similar. Now if I could get to Autozone… Well any ways, thanks for the video. : )

This fixed my car. Now it doesn’t stall when hot and it starts up when it’s hot after driving for a while.
