small note… toward the end, you called the cat-o-lit-ic converter a cat-o-lack converter.

ahoorakia says:

put a tiny amount of bubble gum inside the socket ,so you will not loose the screws on the coils when removing.
specially the back one’s closer to fire wall, you loose them you never gonna find it

ahoorakia says:

that is most likely your coil pack, there are 3 of them, each one is hold by 2 5.5mm screw, take the spark plug wire out at the coil tower if it is corroded or rusty change them, also check inside the plug wire, if rusty change them too
usually you get code 0301 through 0306(means misfire cyl 1 or 2,3,4,5 or6)
not all at once, you may get one or two of them,
first coil closer to passenger side,is for cyl (5&2middle coil is 3&6,the one closer driver side is1&4)

Scott Smith says:

I have a 97 3.1century and I have code P0140 “Circuit condition (heated o2 sensor bank sensor 2) is there a way to trouble shoot/ fix the problem without replaceing a sensor

phantom12321800 says:

Does anyone know what that small tube is that goes from the top of the air intake hose, back near the O2 sensor, (it can be seen to the right of it and just behind the transmission dipstick. It came loose during my replacing of the air filter and I thought i got it reseated, but ever since then I’ve had the “service engine soon” light on solid (not flashing) and occasionally it goes away and performance improves, but other times it is there and the car chuggs a little.

NolaCTC9 says:

i dont have any overheating issues or coolent but i guess ill just have to buy a need o2 sensor thanks anyways if i have any other questions ill ask thanks

Justin H says:

Well p0135 is heater eleiment in o2 sensor. So could be a couple things. 1.
the wiring on the o2 sensor you replaced is not connected right or there is
corroded/split wires. check for that. 2. do you have any overheating issues
or coolent issues? 3. mabey the new o2 sensor is bad. there is only 2 o2
sensors. there is not one by your cooling fan if you are on the 3.1l
engine.

NolaCTC9 says:

OK i changed one like you did the bank 1 sensor one and my service engine light went off and later that night it came back on and i went to autozone and they say it was the PO135 and he told me they have another O2 sensor i have to change its by the cooling fan but i cant find it

Justin H says:

To my knowledge there are only 2 sensors total, 1 upstream (the one shown replaced) and then 1 downstream on the pipe.

NolaCTC9 says:

how many 02 sensors they have upstream on the buick sensor
