Yep, pretty basic, but I’m 30 years old and about to go and change the oil
in my car for my first time. I’ve always taken it in to have it done. I’m
not a motor head (I didn’t own a single tool before a week ago) so doing
anything on it is rather intimidating, and a shop is quick, easy and cheap,
plus they check/fill various other fluids and let me know about
leaks/problems with my car. Local place just went from $35 to $80, thought
I’d give it a shot…so thank-you for the vid., sir.
There are many people who have no skills, let alone basic skills when it
comes to maintaining their cars. Everybody has to start somewhere and
someone who has never been taught how to change their oil isn’t likely to
learn otherwise.

I guess since i know how to fix practically anything on a car an oil change
seems basic to me.
Are you fucking kidding me this stuff is basic.
Basic to you, me, car guys, mechanics, but some people don’t have
automotive background. Why are you watching it if it’s so basic?
