@newrosupcomingsi when you pull the upper intake off you may see clean
spots, or you might even see puddles of coolant inside the lower intake
manifold. Either of which would indicate a leaking intake manifold.

Good job but way to informative explaining every part.If thats the case a
guy watching this should not attempt this job

Charia Brott says:

alright…so i took everything apart on my 95 bonneville 3.8l engine,
bought all the replacment parts to replace the lower intake gaskets, and
the upper intake manifold and gaskets, but now I’m stuck with two large
torx bolts, which were in a ziplock bag i labeled for lower intake
manifold, but i cant find where they go…any help would be very
appreciated

Santino rodriguez says:

He i have a 99 buick centry i see coolant puddle near the the thermostat
housing i replaced the thermostat gasket thught that was the promblem but
as i inspected closer it coming from behind the it could it be the intake
leaking or head gasket help me out please

newrosupcomingsi says:

so in order to check for a coolant leak, i could just pull the upper intake
manifold off and look for clean spots?

Auto Parts Direct To You says:

Unfortunately it probably is the intake manifold gasket.

Scott Eavey says:

This guy is the man!!! I watched all 7 of his videos and I replaced both
upper and lower intake manifold gaskets for less than $200, instead of
$1000 plus. I had no clue how to do this job, but just what the automotive
dealer said what the problem and cost would be. YOU TUBE is the life and
money saver!!! Thank you very very much.
