I have an e46 used to have an e30. I agree 100 with your last statement. If your gonna buy a new bmw, LEASE IT!
2002 was because it was a 2 liter engine. the 1.6 was the exact same design but called the 1602
My personal favorite BMW is the E30 325e. Even though most BMW enthusiasts despise these cars for whatever reason, they still fantastic daily drivers in the United States thanks to the low-stressed high-torque Eta engine. The Eta engine paired with an auto tranny is a match made in heaven if you a fun classic you can use as a daily in heavy traffic
Ancient BMW's that I would buy
You forgot about bmw 524td 1987 diesel bmw with no emotion restriction on it so the engine is problem free and very efficient. Got 350k miles on it and still driving it.

Scotty, someone probably said this, but you should make a video about Which Mercedes Benz models you would buy. My dad has a 1990 Mercedes sl500(not since new) and it is a lot of fun to drive. There are a lot of little quirks for a 29 year old car. I wouldn't buy a Mercedes after 2000 cause of the Sensors.
For me, my favorite was the 1979 528i ! It leaked a little oil but it was a Monster! I heard the 525 td was excellent too . It didn't stay around long because diesels weren't that popular.

I have a 2008 550i and have put just over 26,000 miles on it in a year. It’s been very reliable and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else at its price point!!

@6:41…. perhaps sue Toyota for selling the new Yaris (e.g. 2019) as a Toyota but actually is a Mazda 2 4-door 😛 Replace the engine… you'll be getting a Mazda motor w/direct injection . :-0 🙁
