Hey, My L7 started cracking – passenger woofer and rear door tweeters were cracking (driver woofer and center speaker was ok). I have removed chip for passenger woofer and soldered TDA1562Q instead. After this I put my L7 back to car, but now none of L7 speakers were working. Fiber circuit is still ok, I can adjust L7 parameter in tone settings (from 1 to 10), also I can adjust equalizers, but none of L7 speakers are working now. Have any ideas?
Also, does anyone knows when fan inside L7 is activated? It starts to spin right after turning on music or only when some higher temperature is reached? Mine does not spin anytime, also after some time of playing music. I suspect dead transistor. Anyone knows what type transistor is this, PNP ar NPN?

great video by the way. love when people chip in and help show others.

Patrick Leroi says:

you could of jus put small heatsinks right on the chips with its own fan directly over them. radio shack has the tiniest heatsinks i use for this. better than all that wires they say to solder.

Patrick Leroi says:

did your amp work intermittently b4 repair? mine the bass went all the way out. about to dig it out and repair. love it

Patrick Leroi says:

use a razor blade to cut the glue and leave it intack. then when reinstall, just use low heat solder iron and touch in between to reconnect the glue.
