Thanks for the video. I bought the bulb from autozone … 20 bucks … and
with in 20 mins … the headlight was back on …. The power socket was
very tight .. had to fight with it for a while …
Thanks for the video, helped me to change the wife’s headlights. Have to
agree with others though, unclipping the bulb from the housing was a bit of
a bitch, but otherwise great video!
Thanks for the video. I’m facing my first time working on my BMW 528i 2011
model’s low beam headlamp. Do you know if these instructions are the same?
Thanks.
Thanks for your video. I went to BMW dealer and asked – ” how much is to
change”. The respond was 130$. After viewing your video I was able to
change myself in 10 minutes. And you safe me a chunk of money. Thanks again.
I have a 2008 328xi, and the power socket seems to be attached to the bulb
pretty tight. I can’t seem to unplug the power socket from the bulb. Is
there a release to unplug the socket?
You should make more videos about the E90 3 Series if you can because I
think you would really help some 3 Series members if they are looking to do
some work on there car.
2. Once the cover comes off, the power socket needs to be pulled back. You
might have to fidget a bit but it comes straight off, there are no locks.
3. This will take you to the bulb which is held in its place by another
metal clamp. Push the top part back to free it and then slightly to the
right (for the driver’s side light) to release. The bulb is now free and
can be taken out and replaced.
Thank you for the how-to video Darion Teoh. It was very helpful. I
purchased my bulb from local Toronto BMW dealer for $40 and was able to
change it in half an hour. Have a good day. 🙂
This was a great help. I would also add that replacing the inner dust cover
is easier to do from the hood than from under the wheel well. This video
saved me money! Thanks!
Thank you!

@fabe5820 saving money is always a good thing yeah 🙂
Forgot to mention. 245 R18’s make getting the far screw in the wheelarch
really difficult to get at!
Thanks man. Now this girl changed her own bulb. Oh yeah!
Is it easy to change headlight on the 2012 3 series saloon model?
Would I follow these same steps for Xenon headlights?

@ajb6321 You don’t need to, the wires are attached to a black connector so
you just need to attach the connector to the 2 pins on the bulb itself.
hah!…good point for BMW…
Many thanks Darion Teoh… Greatly appreciated!!
Not as easy as it looks for me. There is a little metal clip that holds the
bulb in place that is hard to work around. Pain in the butt.

Thanks for the specifics MrBassacik…helpful to know. Was the bulb
expensive? And did u get it from BMW?
I figured the dealer here in NJ would charge the same-where do you
live?-Did that include the bulb?

oh and the bulb to buy is the H7 55w
Thanks for letting me know, must have forgotten all about it.
Great to hear…you’re most welcomed.
Again, thank you psfr33 for complementing the video with this detail.
That’s always a good thing to save money…love it!
Have u considered hid’s?
Thanks for the tutorial. Changed both in 20 minutes. Why it has to be so
complicated, I do not know.
Thank you! I just bought my BMW 3 days ago (go figure) and this video saved
me some cash 🙂 Worked exactly as you stated. Thanks again.
Thanks a lot bud. Mine went out this morning, $15 and after watching your
video, I’m no longer a cyclop.
