Hello, I also did receive your message from my website. I am working my way
to this repair but it might take me some time with work and family coming
first 🙂 The repair I suspect I need is a block repair as when this BMW
engine over heats the block material breaks down and the head bolts can
pull out. Also I suspect my timing is off as the previous owner had a shop
alreaddy replace a head gasket…and my exhaust has an air leak…but I did
get the vehicle for under 2000. 🙂
check to see if the vehicle has gotten a thermostat and water pump. Also
check to see if they think it needs a head gasket. It might be a good
investment and you could follow along while I do the repairs to my vehicle
but I cannot predict the time frame I will be able to do this lengthy
repair unfortunately.
hey did you ever try to fix that overheating problem? im about to buy cheap
03 525i with overheated engine, im guessing its just water pump and
thermostat. what you think? thanks
You only need change this intake boot if there is signs of failing like
cracking or a split in the boot 🙂
