Thank you Chris, very informative, and although i don’t have a BMW or will
never own one, i learn a lot from it. I can use it for my own technical
work on my Yamaha. Your technical explanation is very good!!!
Nice work. Now I need to go make some money so I can hire someone to do
this job :)
Again a top production sir Chris, trying to find cam chain tensioner job on
a k75 bike. You don;t have those in your arsenal do you? I was told it need
to be done every 60k km, what can you tell me about that?? If so how hard
is it DIY, the clutch was easy thanks to your vids.

Jesus Clip? Why use the Lords name in Vain? Why? Call it the Devils
Clip.. Where in the Fuck did my Devils clip go? Keep the Lord on your
side.. Curse the Devil instead..
Well… that should put a few BMW mechanics out of work… I just replaced
my Honda clutch plates, all 11 of them (a typical motorcycle wet clutch) –
fortunately it was a lot easier to do than this. I bet the owner has been
thrashing this bike and wheelying it to strip the friction plate and input
shaft splines like that – unless BMW clutch parts are made in China
nowadays(?)
Great video Chris but what a nightmare, why would you want to do this for a
living?? I’m stressed out just watching.
I love your videos. You say you need to do the input spline lube every
40000 miles, does this also apply to an r1100gs?
Amazing, many thanks for share this master piece

Can you please watch this 60 second long video of my 1991 bmw k100rs and
tell me what is wrong. I cant tell you enough how grateful i’d be! My
K-bike means alot to me and This is really my last resort.
Good onya mate, I’ve watched shit loads of your vids now and your
explanation of things is awesome. Cheers mate. I suppose you get heaps of
questions but if youcould answer me this one would be greatly appreciated.
I’m looking at the R1100s and was wondering if you have any tips for me in
regards to reliability and problems to look out for. Thanks again champion
your a fair dinkum legend.
thank Chris, in the video there is what I was looking for.
I programmed the splines lube and clutch evaluation check, and all the
trasmission check servicing, next winter.
just the job :))
Awesome video. Thank you
Awesome video! If this is the direction you’re going, I like it! (even if
we have to pay)
Nice job.Thaks you very much for this instructional video.
Thanks for the great video, Chris. I like you’re talking slowly for a
German guy like me. Although I’ve never had a BMW, I’ve seen most of your
videos. If I should have one, one day, I’ll be prepared ;-)
Thanks Chris
man you’re back
Perfekt. Thanks !!!
Excellent video. Thanks for providing so much detail and running commentary
about what and why you were doing each process.
Hi Chris, this is my first BMW, THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR VIDEOS, Following
your 2hr 24 min GREAT video, I replaced my gearbox in a 1996 r1100RT, it
was wonderful, but now I assembly everything again and the RIGHT CYLINDER
doesn’t work well.. lots of fail, and it seems that the bike works only in
one cylinder.
I didn’t touch anything of the engine, I checked the spark, and it’s good,
I checked the injector outside, and is spitting well too, all wiring
connected.. could I forgot something?… if running (only left cylinder)
I disconnect right injector signal… nothing happens, I disconnect the
left side and the bike stops.
Any Idea?… I know that this page doesn’t suppose to answer questions, but
really I’m in a trouble.
Any idea?… Thanks a lot in advance, the Gearbox was great.. I want to
solve this before I put all the tupperware.
Regards
Miguel
Excellent video.. You guys are good.. Thanks..

I cannot tell you how much I have learned from your videos. I own a 1998
R1100RT.
Short story is, started loosing clutch on a trip until no clutch. Was able
to adjust at transmission end to get some authority at the lever. Had to do
this twice to get home. Clutch cable still intact. ??What causes these
symptoms? Thanks. Jim
hi chris, doing this now, i am assuming i have to remove fuel tank ? best
regards robert
Awesome video Chris, glad you’re back in business. I really appriciate your
instructional videos.
I have a ’94 R1100RS and was wondering if there is any differences between
that and the RT you were working on regarding the tranny & clutch
replacement?
Best wishes.
greetings from south africa, great vid keep them coming you da man.
Thank you, Chris. This is really excellent.
Chris, you don’t know how many people you help! Not everyone get the chance
to thank you, but I’m sure there are thousands who appreciate your work. Do
us a favor and show us the how do that job on the r1150gs please.
THANK YOU! YOUR REALLY ARE THE MAN!
Thank Chris for all these incredible videos! So much good stuff.
Eric
can you just do the spline lube on the input shaft without removing the
swingarm/final drive from the transmission . I mean, just pull the whole
assembly back?
Great Job!! I just receive my 17Kmiles gearbox, and I will replace, THIS
VIDEO IS AWESOME and explains step by step ALL I NEED TO DO!! Thenks a lot
man, youre great!
Chris,
Thanks for the wonderful advice in literally every of your video, I really
learned. Christ I need specific advice, please, I’m from Canada and I buy a
police motorcycle, BMW R1150RT-P 2004, 54.000 km or 33.500 miles.
The principle on the video to change the clutch on the R1100RT is it the
same as the R1150RT-P? The clutch of the R1150RT is it the same as the
R11500RT-P?
And if I should change the input shaft of the transmission (something I do
not want to have to do), it is necessary to change all the bearings and
seals?
Thank you again for all the nice work, you are a real professional.
Really like your generous use of alcohol!
Great video Chris Well done and good luck with Your new endeavours!
Another great service video, and very professional as I only heard you
swear once!
A great help to the BMW community. The 1100 seems fairly similar to the
1150gs motor except for the hydraulic clutch. Are there any other big
differences?
Спасибо большое тебе Крис за очень нужное видео.Жаль что я не знаю
Английский язык….
