There should be 2 steps to changing an air filter:
1) Remover Air Filter Cover
2) Remove Air Filter
If a BMW enginner presented me with these steps for changing an air filter,
I would adjust his head with a big wrench and ask who else wants to try.
A Simple design change on the side of the air filter housing would allow a
new filter to be inserted from the side… without clamps to open the
housing… without tank and fairing removal… and it would require 5
minutes instead of an hour.
I have a K100RS with a front fairing. BMW’s steps start with 1) Remove the
Fairing… 2) Remove the Gas Tank.
This was quite the job, I cleaned and replaced my k&n along with cleaning
out the box and mass airflow sensor. It’s such a tight fit, and requires a
lot of patience. Next time I will remove the tank completely and give the
whole are a good cleaning.
Hi, great video. I just picked up a really clean K75s and I wondered which
are the recommended oil filter for this model, if you do use BMW parts
where do you purchase them cheaply in the NL? Also, how often do you lube
the splines on the drive shaft? and which oil is recommended for the 95
model year?
I just did this on my K bike. Pulling the filter element out is easy. I
also took the time to remove the airflow sensor. I fought with it for some
time, but it starts like a dream now! Next is replacement plugs.
Great German Engineering…

Pure stupidity.
Thank you for that. I will do the air filter on my bike soon – but it’s a
K75 RT, which is a bit more difficult! Your video is very helpful though.

Handige tip om eerst de connector los te maken zodat de druk wegvalt.

Nice vidssss. By the way, anyone know where to find this kind of headlight
fairing? I just love it!

release the clamps , and lift the top part a bite and than you can pull the
